Ketapang, April 8, 2025 — In celebration of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, PT Well Harvest Winning Alumina Refinery (WHW) has once again shared blessings with the local community through its annual “WHW Shares Eid Blessings” program. This initiative, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aims to support underprivileged residents living near the company’s operational area in Ketapang, West Kalimantan.
Running from March 25 to 28, 2025, the program distributed a total of 486 food packages across five hamlets in Mekar Utama Village, Kendawangan District. The recipients included the elderly, orphans, people with disabilities, widows with dependents, and low-income families.
Ari Djanuar Prasetio, CSR Manager of PT WHW, explained that the program is part of the company’s commitment to bring positive impact to the community. “We hope this Eid food aid can help ease the burden on families and allow them to enjoy the spirit of Eid more meaningfully with their loved ones,” said Ari.
He added, “This program is one of our many long-term CSR initiatives focused on economic, social, health, and educational development. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen the bond between the company and the local community.”

Each food package contained essential items such as rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil, tea, coffee, syrup, and biscuits. The distribution was spread across several locations:

The initiative received positive feedback from local residents and village leaders. Rosanti, Head of Dusun Tanjung, expressed her gratitude on behalf of the community. “We sincerely thank PT WHW for these Eid gifts to our families. We hope the company continues to grow and that this kind of program keeps expanding,” she said.
One of the recipients, Hamruni from RT 01 Pagar Mentimun Luar, also shared her appreciation. “We are truly grateful for the food support provided by PT WHW. May the company continue to thrive and keep bringing benefits to the community,” she said warmly.
