Pecco Bagnaia Confident He Can Battle Marc Marquez Until the End of the 2025 MotoGP Season. |
JAKARTA – Two-time MotoGP World Champion, Pecco Bagnaia, isn’t ready to give up just yet—even though the start of the 2025 season hasn’t exactly gone his way.
Despite some early struggles, Bagnaia remains confident that he can fight Marc Marquez all the way to the final race in Valencia. And guess what? The Ducati factory team battle is heating up fast!
Tough Start for Pecco
So far in 2025, Marc Marquez has been on fire. He’s won every sprint race and the first three main races of the season. Insane, right? That hot streak has put him 26 points ahead of Bagnaia in the current standings.
Even though both riders are on the same Ducati GP25 bike, Pecco hasn’t been able to fully connect with the new machine—at least not yet.
But things took a turn in Austin, at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Pecco managed to grab his first win of the season there, thanks to Marquez crashing while leading the race. That win felt like a turning point, and Bagnaia finally felt like he was “clicking” with his bike again.
In an interview with TNT Sports, Bagnaia admitted he knows exactly who he’s dealing with now.
“Marc is probably the most competitive rider out there. Last year he was still adapting, and he did a great job. But this year, he started the season full throttle,” Pecco said.
Still, Bagnaia believes he can match the challenge and take the fight all the way to the end of the season.
“I think once I’m back at my best, we’re going to have some really intense battles—and that’s going to be awesome.”
Learning from Last Year
Even though Bagnaia won 11 races last year, he still lost the championship to Jorge Martin, who only won three. That experience taught him to stay calm and patient, even when things don’t go perfectly.
“I knew what the problem was, but it wasn’t easy to fix. I believe the potential is there, but back then I didn’t know when it would come back,” he explained.
Things changed in Austin. From the first practice session, Pecco felt something different. The bike started responding better, and he could keep up with the fastest guys on the track.
“It was such a relief for me. I could enjoy racing again,” Bagnaia said with a smile.
One of the Best Battles in MotoGP History?
With Marquez in top form and Bagnaia finding his rhythm again, this season could turn into one of the most epic duels in MotoGP history. It’s not just about raw speed anymore—it’s about consistency, mindset, and mental toughness over a long, demanding season.
For MotoGP fans, 2025 is shaping up to be full of drama, action, and edge-of-your-seat racing. Every race weekend could be a showdown, with Bagnaia and Marquez going head-to-head until the very end.
So, gear up and don’t miss a single race. The battle is on—and it’s going to be
