Adobe Adds AI to Photoshop and Premiere Pro: Editing Photos and Videos Just Got Easier!. |
Adobe is making waves again! The creative tech giant is working on powerful artificial intelligence (AI) technology that will be integrated into two of its most popular products: Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
With this new AI support, editing photos and videos will be faster, easier, and perfect for beginners who are just starting to explore the creative world.
While this AI isn't meant to replace human creativity, it’s designed to simplify the editing process and help beginners understand complex techniques in just a few steps.
What’s New in Photoshop?
In Photoshop, Adobe is introducing a floating panel called Actions. This panel gives editing suggestions based on the image you're working on.
For example, if there’s someone in the background that’s distracting, the AI might suggest removing them.
It can also recommend adding blur to the background to make your photo look like it was taken with a professional camera.
What’s great is that users just need to click on the suggestion, and the AI will apply it automatically—no technical skills required!
Photoshop already has AI features like object removal and image expansion, but this new AI takes things a step further.
It can understand natural language commands like “clean up the photo and add text,” and carry out a series of actions automatically.
In Adobe’s demo, the AI was able to clean up a photo, remove people, adjust brightness, create a text layer, and organize the project—all from a single command. Impressive, right?
Premiere Pro Gets Smarter Too
For video editors, there’s exciting news from Premiere Pro as well. Adobe is working on an AI agent that builds on its current Media Intelligence features.
This AI will help users find key moments in a video, automatically create editing drafts, and soon, it will be able to choose the best shots, adjust color, arrange audio, and more.
One cool new tool is called Generative Extend. This allows you to add a few seconds to a video clip to make scene transitions smoother—all powered by AI!
AI to Assist, Not Replace
According to Eli Greenfield, Adobe’s CTO of digital media, this AI isn’t here to replace human editors. Instead, it’s meant to assist and speed up the workflow—especially for beginners who are still learning the ropes.
For those new to photo or video editing, this is fantastic news. You no longer need to be a tech expert to start creating.
Just give the AI a simple instruction, and it will guide you through the steps.
Adobe plans to officially unveil the Photoshop AI agent at Adobe Max London on April 24. So, if you’re curious and want to see these features in action, make sure to stay tuned for more updates!
