North Sumatra Police Crack Down on Drugs: 130 Suspects Arrested in a Week!. |
Medan – The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) are showing no mercy to drug offenders! In just one week, the Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of Polda Sumut, together with their units, successfully arrested 130 suspects involved in drug-related crimes.
According to Acting Head of Public Relations of Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol. Yudhi Surya Markus Pinem, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., among the 130 suspects, 28 were users, while the remaining 102 played bigger roles in drug distribution networks.
"From the operations conducted between March 17, 2025, and March 24, 2025, we managed to apprehend 130 suspects," stated Kombes Pol. Yudhi Surya, as quoted from Koran Pagi Online on Monday (March 24, 2025).
Shocking Seizures: Drugs, Vehicles, and Cash Confiscated
The police didn't just arrest the suspects—they also confiscated an astonishing amount of evidence. The seized items include 7.36 kg of crystal methamphetamine (sabu), 821 grams of marijuana, and 34 ecstasy pills.
Additionally, officers secured 10 motorcycles, 2 cars, cash totaling IDR 11,898,000, 40 mobile phones and tablets, 14 digital scales, and 8 meth pipes (bongs).
Kombes Pol. Yudhi Surya emphasized that this successful operation was the result of the relentless efforts of Ditresnarkoba Polda Sumut and their units to combat drug circulation in North Sumatra. He also assured that the police would not give any space for drug criminals to operate.

"Under the leadership of North Sumatra Police Chief, Irjen Pol. Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, we will continue to intensify efforts to eradicate drugs.
